7.2Good for the priceLast night I was there to try a new French place. I ordered the patechou, poached egg salad, mushroom soup, escagot and ribeye steak. I'm gonna review on each of them in order. 1. Stuffed patechou. Can't remember the French name. It was good. Creamy and stuffs but the patechou, I wish it was more crunchy and the chef could heat up the patechou too. I understand that whatever they are pouring on is hot but the part that wasn't poured on is supposed to be crispy and crunchy when you bite. 2. Poached egg salad: good from the vegetable to the bacon. It's homemade I assumed because the bacon was cut out in little thick strip which tasted good actually. ;-)). 3. Mushroom soup with trouffle oil. Too much trouffle oil! When I mixed them up, I can only taste and smell that trouffle oil. The soup was bland. I had to put more salt and pepper. It was watery. Not as creamy as I expected. Or at least not as creamy as other places I ate. 4. Escagot was good. Wish they could make the shell more chewy. It was soft yesterday. But the flavoring was good. 5. Steak: it was soft. Mushroom sauce needs a little more work on flavoring. However, maybe the steak wasnt hot enough, that's probably why it had a smell. The waitresses had to change knife 2 times for us. The last time she had to take it in to the kitchen sharpen. Speaking of service. I had a trainee took care of my table. I asked her how many patechou is there in one order. She said "I think 1 only." Whereas, she could have said "Wait a moment. I am going to ask and get back to you" or whatnot. When I asked her what a dish is (forgot the name already), she stood there and asked other waitress "what is that ... (The name I forgot)". The bread they brought out was not heated. It was stale cold. I told her to heat them up for me. She was glad to do so. ( old waitress- NOT trainee). So I was sitting there waiting for my hubby. Therefore I asked whatever I ordered, could they bring them out when my hubby came. The waitress went in and told the chef. The chef was being very loud. I heared him from where I sat. He said "what! How am I supposed to know when to bring food out?!?" with an angry tone like the waitress did him wrong in some way. I hope the owner could read this so he can fix his employees attitudes. The restaurant is not bad. The food was not that bad but attitude was not good. I wish he knew and could do something about it to make his restaurant better. ...Xem thêm
