9.6Tavola - Original Italian RestaurantIs there anything better than a creamy lobster penne followed by an irresistible tiramisu? Didn't think so. I had an incredible dinner experience at Tavola last night. The food was truly authentic Italian. And when I say authentic, I mean the chef himself is renowned from Sardinia. Not only was he an extremely friendly presence, but his dishes were delectable! I was started with an Atlantic red tuna salad which was so flavourful I could have gone for round two (and that's saying a lot, considering I typically eat salad as a "I'm trying to eat healthy option" only). Onto the pasta, I had the mediterranean clam spaghetti (spaghetti alla bottarga e vongole) and the market lobster penne (penne all' astice), I mean can you really go wrong with either? I absolutely loved them both, choosing one may be the hardest decision of 2019. The sirloin was also cooked to perfection and tender as ever! It was such a treat, as I find it quite difficult to hunt down in Saigon. Lastly (but certainly not least) the tiramisu. Where do I even begin? It's 100% an absolute must! I know for a fact I will be back even just for this. Wow wow wow, I have not stopped thinking about this dessert since I devoured it in a matter of seconds! Not only is the food wonderful, the restaurant itself is fabulous. With a floor to ceiling bar, open kitchen, a gorgeous dining area and lovely staff, everything ties in beautifully to make this spot a great find in the middle of Saigon!
