5.2Dismal yum chaOh dear, i had high hopes for this place as i had been a regular visitor over the years when i visit HK, however i am saddened to tell all that the standards have slipped dramatically. We only ordered 6 dim sum dishes - only 2 impressed. The chicken congee was quite plain and for the 3-4 small pieces of chook in the bowl it was not worth $25. The prawn steamed rice pastry was a disaster - the pastry is far too thick so basically you had to use a lot of soy sauce to gain any flavour. The steamed chicken feet and sweet custard buns were very good and flavoursome - that was about it! The ox tripe was far too oily, normally it is in a light soup base but it was in an oil base and quite clunky as well - not cut down to size. And lastly my favourite dish - steamed bean curd roll - was just disappointing. It is normally fried first, and then steamed in a rich oyster sauce blend. It is also meant to be meaty in the inside with herbs and bamboo shoot. Instead it was steamed without first fried, had a thick slab of oyster sauce on top, and inside it was meat with diced carrot and celery - not the norm. Overall, an incredibly disappointing dim sum experience and in all honesty i will not be back in a hurry ...Xem thêm
